We're calling on all Managers, Coaches, Parents and older players to assist us with our field opening and prep day this Saturday 3/13 from 9am to Noon at our King Road Complex. Changes due to inclement weather will be communicated via email blast.
The coaches clinic is also being held at Grand Slam on 3/13 from 8:30am to 10:30am. The expectation is for all teams to send one (1) representative manager/coach from each team to the coaches clinic and for the other two coaches to attend field day. Once the coaches clinic is finished, those coaches will head over to the field to help out. This will help limit the number of people in the Grand Slam indoor space and ensure we have enough hands helping with the facility preparations.
This is a big lift and involves setting up the batting cages, pitching screens, back stops and a huge amount of raking, tree debris removal, field dirt placement and general upkeep of not only the King Road complex, but our township permitted fields at Battle of the Clouds and East Goshen Park.
All GVLL Manager and Coaches are required to be here to assist with the work and represent your teams.
Please bring yard tools (a shovel, hard and soft rakes, gas leave blowers). If you have a 10+ foot ladder, please bring that as well. Additional ladders will help get the batting cages up much quicker. Thank you.
