  2. Attend a school physically located within our boundaries.
  3. Has a sibling in the league that meets one of the prior requirements and plays in GVLL.

General Information: Opening Day is set for March 28th. Practices will begin March 14th immediately following field day.  For most divisions, the season will run from approximately the beginning of April until early to mid-June. For some ages, All-Star teams will be selected to compete against other local teams in District 27 (ages involved are 9-16); these tournaments take place from mid-June until July depending upon age group.  For a complete list of dates and events this season please see our Calendar page.

Division Information:  GVLL is organized into several divisions for both baseball and softball.  This is based on age standards (2020 Baseball Age Chart and 2020 Softball Age Chart) defined by Little League International.  Detailed information on our Baseball Divisions will help give you a better understanding of each level of play.

Softball Division:  Chester Valley Little League and Great Valley Little League are excited to announce that the two leagues will be combining the SOFTBALL programs fully beginning in Spring 2020!  The two leagues believe that this will enhance the experience of the girls playing in the leagues, as well as provide an opportunity to build up the programs. A lot of thought and consideration was given to this move and the benefits are many.  To find out more information and register for SOFTBALL, please visit the CVLL website.

50/70 Intermediate Division:  New for this year!  If your child is Little League age 13 and not sure they are ready for the bigger full size field (60/90), this division offers an opportunity to play on a smaller field (50' pitching/70' bases) yet bigger than the Little League size field (46/60).  Normally GVLL 13 year olds  play in our Juniors division on the full sized field.  We are making this option available to see if there is enough interest to be able to field a couple teams.  These teams would play other District 27 Intermediate teams.  If you do register for Intermediate, but we do not get enough interest you will be given the option to play in the Juniors division or offered a refund.

Jr/Sr Division:
To our middle school and high school players, at GVLL we are fully open to accommodating players’ schedules.  We understand that playing for GVLL may be a second or third priority for players rostered on a middle or high school team or considering Legion baseball in the summer.  Spring Juniors and Seniors play is weekends-only and while we offer practices during the week, they are optional for players who have other baseball commitments.  We also fully comply with high school coaches’ or players’ preferences to avoid having players who are in the rotation for their school teams also pitch at GVLL during the school seasons.

TBall:  The TBall division starts its games a bit later than the other divisions, approximately the 3rd week in April.  When registering be specific with all requests, we make every attempt to honor friend and school requests.  The earlier you register, the better the likelihood to accommodate those requests.

Note:  Please make sure to upload your player's birth certificate and proof of residency information into their secure participant profile in order to validate requirements.
